I first saw them for sale in a veggie shop in Wales when we were visiting John and Val.  I had no idea what they were at the time or I would have bought some then.

I think the plan is that once you've grown them you don't have to buy them again as you just save your own tubers for the next and future years.

This is the first time I've heard of them. What do they taste like?

The web site I posted says it "has a taste just like potatoes with lemon sauce.   No need to peel, just boil and serve with butter. Mmmmm."

Indeed they do, very nice with fish. I roast mine with butter either in the oven or sat around the chimmnea drinking beer and eating oca

I baulked at the Realseeds prices last year and this but the fleabay ones are pretty reasonable, so I`ve commited my £10.50.
