Hi,      We are being invaded by a pea and bean weevil.   I noticed they started on the broad beans - but they seem to cope.  However as I have planted early peas in the same bed this year, the evil weevil has started to notch the edges of the newly emerging pea leaves.   

Can anyone suggest a deterrant?

Look the other way.

Whilst they do look pretty, they son't have much effect of the final product. The plants will grow though it.

You can either cover your plants in chemicals, fleece, or very fine mesh if you really want to, but it's too late for the latter two, you'll be fencing them in!

It might be okay for the broadbeans - they can cope, but the poor little pea shoots are getting bare of leaves.     I'll try spraying with insecticide.
