I have me dads garden to do again this year but have been soooo busy with work have not really thought about it till now, warm weather and all that am i too late to start and spuds now? thanks

Do you have your seed spuds bought? Its late to chit them now, but you can plant without having done so although the consensus is that chitting would be preferable. :)

Yes I brought them today and then suddenly thought i need to chit them and its already april well almost ok so i will just chuck them in and hopw for the best lol

depends on the variety you have. find out the name and do a search on the net when to grow them. pile up the soil in a mound and just push in about 4 inches and cover up.

I only started turning over my potato bed yesterday and on the advice of some plot neighbours I'm just going to turn it over, weeds and all, and chuck the spuds in where I want them.
No earthing up till they start showing and apparently the potatoes will clean the bed for me instead of me spending the lots of time picking the weeds out.

No they won't clear the bed for you.

You mostly do that by the action of preparation, hilling up and digging to harvest. They will keep the annual weeds at bay once they get big enough, though.
