Can someone give me some more info on 'green manures??

I've got a proper plot now, yay!  :D. And not just the veg patch I have been 'borrowing' off my mate.

With it being the end of the growing season, I thought about planting some, to help the soil and to hopfully keep the weeds down 'til the spring.

bigB.

If you're going to copy/paste someone else's work - in this case the NVS website - the least you can do is post a citation.

I do think a link would have been more appropriate in this case, due to the amount of material you've "borrowed".
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've removed the post that was copied from the NVS website (I wrote it anyway) - it's basically the same as on this website and can be found here: http://www.allotment-garden.org/garden_month/garden-september.php

Not a biggie in this case, bigB, but as an author I've got to respect copyright or I can't (morally) moan when others take my work :)

Even my own work isn't completely free for me to use when I've written it for others. Same goes for photos of me.. I had to pay for the photo of me on the home page taken by the local paper and then my publishers had to pay again to use it on the cover of the books.

Although stuff on the net may be free to read, you need to be aware that it's copyrighted. Even wikipedia has various terms of use.
