hello everybody im new to gardening , took on an allotment this year. on the whole ive had good results.  I dug  my first potato yesterday & found about 50% of the tubers had been attacked by wireworm.  any suggestions on how to get rid of these little pests.

I had the same when I took over my Lottie three years ago.
Apparently they are prevalent in areas that were grass and as you dig the grass over and remove the grass then the blighters reduce.
This has been true for me because three years later and the numbers of Wireworms in my soil has greatly reduced.
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

Allotment holder since 27th May 2007.
