sorry-another Asparagus question
« on: May 26, 2010, 19:12 »
On the plot I have just taken on I noticed some Asparagus popping up,right where I've planted my Rhubarb!anyway, the spears are really thin and I'm not sure whether or not to pick it or leave it.I think the previous holders put it in and they weren't there long so it might only be a year or two old.

I have an asparagus plot, and they seem to grow different ways; some are thin and some fat.  I tend to cut them all, but toss the thin ones into my compost and take the thick ones home.  By the way, I've put an handful in the freezer (I hope they'll be ok) and are saving them for Christmas Day dinner. :)
