Hi

Yet another question, sorry! I bought some "solent wight" garlic from suttons a couple of months ago to plant out and I've planted some but I still have a fair bit left - didn't have enough room. Do you think it will last until next year? Probably a bit late to plant out now...?

Either plant it asap or give it to someone who does have room for it, sadly it will not keep

Does it not need to be really cold for a while before planting out, should I pop it in the fridge/freezer for a few days before potting it up? I think I could pop up a few more - afterwards I guess I will have to give the rest away! I feel a bit bad but one of the main reasons I don't want to plant too many is because they look so boring! Do they get a bit more leafy later on?

they look the same as leeks or onions, I don't think that's boring..but you may do

I did put mine in the fridge (I wouldn't put them in the freezer, in case they freeze to death ) for a couple of days, but don't know if it is really necessary, other people seem to late plant without bothering and still get good results
