Wondering If I've Given My Leeks A Poor Start!??
« on: March 22, 2010, 16:58 »
I sowed my Leek seeds today (cat litter tray method!) and instead of sowing them in ordinary compost as I did last year, I used sowing and cutting compost. I am wondering as they stay in it for such a long time, was this a good move nutrition wise? Or should I feed later to make up for it?? Thanks

I give mine a little sprinkle of blood fish and bone, and carefully stir the compost up a bit then give them a drop of water.
But if they are in a container be very careful that it's only a little bit :)
