As soon as i can i will post some shots of the finished house and run, and the new ladies - they are the most beautiful, delicate things...  I am in love

so nice to see them walk on grass for the first time, scratch around and Be chickens

names - i was thinking of Martha and Pox and i like Pox for the bigger one because shes a bit of a funny one really, sort of follows Martha around and when she finds something Pox tries to get in there!   Martha is more of an explorer, shes been in the nest boxes and all around the run, she even tried to fly a bit earlier (hope thats normal! didnt get very far as its all enclosed but they seem happy, Martha found food and i am hoping Pox has caught on

they are very different characters   Love it!

Feeb, it might be worth starting a new thread back in Chicken Chat to mark the arrival and progress of your new hens, as this is Design & Construction - and we wouldn't want all the feathered members to miss out on the piccies and news

Oh okay   sorry i will just add to this thread the end of the build and the nest boxes all cosy with straw - will start another thread about the antics of Martha and Pox in a minute
