just bought two hessian sacks from Wyevale to store onions in  - however, it says on the bags that they're suitable for storing potatoes, swede, carrots... but no mention of onions. are they suitable? or should I buy special onion sacks?

currently the onions are hanging up in the sun on the wall, where they've been for nearly two weeks. will they be dry enough (if rain keeps off) to store at the weekend, or should we leave them out for longer? other half worried they're going to go off in the sunshine.

thanks!

You don't need sacks and they won't go off in the sun - the more the better.

Have a look at this exisiting thread.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
