It is mid April and the soil is warm. Why are you sowing them in pots? They will be better straight in the ground with no disturbance at transplanting.
Oh ok then.
I thought that they would have a better chance of not getting had by mice, and didint think there was any root disturbance with the paper pots
Think i will be putting them in one of my raised beds as opposed to the lottie as the soil at the lottie is heavy clay, whereas the raised beds are much better soil.
thanks

Im still doing pots, and will carry on doing so as I know that I can keep an eye on them. Ive got some heritage peas that are special to me, so will not run the risk. if you are happy in paper pots(as I am)  and can spare the time then do pots, you can see your germination rates. I will do as many peas as I can in paper pots

Mine have come through today, (they may have been through yesterday, but I didn't go 'cos of the rain!).

10 days to germinate - outdoors left to nature!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Wow DD! I've tried Kelvdon wonder two years in a row and and never got them above 30cm! I thought they were ment to be dwarf peas as other varieties in the same bed grow tall with no trouble. They must just not like me  :(
