Some of my  very s-l-o-w growing caulis are turning a shade of mauve   I ate one- wasn´t ill-  any suggestions as to why they have gone mauve-ish?

ps they are only fist size fruit still and they have not been sprayed at all

Did you grow them from seed or buy plants?, you can get different colour cauliflowers, green, purple, and yellow, perhaps yours is the purple one. Personally I prefer white cauliflowers!

cauli's can discolour, you need to bend the leaves over the top of the curds to keep the sun off them, that should help keep them white.

You can even get orange ones but of the strange colours purple are the ones i've seen most.
