Gooseberries arrived today.  Can I leave them in the packaging outside until  Saturday?

Or will they die?

It's not long, should be fine, but I'd probably take them out anyway & just heel them in somewhere.

Stick them in a bucket of water on friday if you're going to plant them on Saturday
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

So you think it is safe?  Actually they are only going to  pots because I have not got the planting site clear yet - it will be cleared during Feb.
