My brother is always gettings stuff from his local tip as they sell the stuff privately, and they know him well now, but our local tip doesn't sell anything.

Our local tip sells all sorts of stuff - I'm always amazed at what people will throw away - a couple of weeks ago there was a fantastic pine dresser just what I've wanted for years and not been able to afford!

Have you tried haggling with them - our chaps (and chapess though she's a bit more of a stickler for the rules) are always open to the odd haggle - got a set of posh stainless steel kitchen scales today almost brand new - haggled them down to £3.00.

Not seen anything of any use for the allotment yet but still looking!
