Price of stuff

Just been to our local nursery bought:
2.5 kg onions/shallots
1.6 kg peas
16 kg seed spuds

Was suprised when the bill only came to £23.

Prices are
£1.79/kg for onions/shallots
£3.99/kg for peas
£1/kg for seed spuds (Inflation for you - gone up by 1p since last year)

How does this compare to what you pay, especially if you're in an association. (none round our way sadly).
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

My spuds were £3.15 for 3kg, so not much difference.  My shallots and onions £1 a bag or something from Wilko, but i don't think they are  kilo, probs half, and peas I bought from Edwin tucker, so no weight on them, but too many pes seeds last year, so the others will go in this year, and if I plant too many of anything, the chooks will help eat them!!!

Such is the advantage of a society.

Was well confused when I went there this morning - they'd sold out of a lot of varities - but still had 47 left out of their normal 80!
