:) on the 4th Oct i had sown some lettuce (allyear round) when they were large enough to thin out i covered four of the plants with four plastic ltr plastic bottles with the base removed,and by heck what a difference they are from the ones that asn't had any protection,i have covered the rest of them now  :D
i did use them in the spring but never gave it a thought for this time of the year. :wink:

yep, just a little bit extra warmth and shelter from peskies works wonders. Mind you rabbits don''t seem to eat my lettuces. They prefer brassicas  :D
