Hi There you have the dreaded slug or snail attack im afraid they are causing us no end of problems i am going for all out war next week with nematodes and slug pellets and chris who lives at the nursery and owns it is collecting them late at night and dropping them in Salt water as we are getting very serious amounts of damage after three weeks of wet weather down here in cornwall
Everyone should grow their own veg and know where their food is coming from even if it is only a one pot on a patio or balcony Grow Something!!

Here's the advertising blurb...

http://www.greengardener.co.uk/slug.htm

Not cheap - would cost me well over £100 to treat all my area.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I seem to have this problem also.  Does it matter that the flower has been eaten overnight?  Is it likely that it has been polinated during the day?

You could always try 'advanced' slug bait....supposed to be organic. :)
