Do bunnies eat the asparagus when it pokes through?  I have never seen it covered on the lotties but did wonder why not as I thought bunnies would eat anything more or less.

Both my mother's garden and mine get rabbits quite regularly but we've never noticed any asparagus damage from them. Guess they're not the connoisseurs we thought  
However, bunnies do eat regular lettuce but they won't touch romaine. So I grow only romaine.

very strange, I'd have thought asparagus would have been a real bunny treat, but maybe they dislike the smell of their wee enough to put them off eating it!!  Have to say it is a big down side to eating such a yummy vegetable!
