Funny you should say that but I have been trying to persuade hubby to move to either Scotland or France as like you said you get more land for your money.  We have friends nearby who bought a house in France lived there a year and got homesick so they moved back again but they still have the house, now I wonder if they want to sell it.

You could not pay me enough money to move back over there. We have been here 3 years now, the kids love it and are bi-lingual, what a start for them. Where in France is your friends house?

We are looking to drive down Biarrirtz this summer or thereabouts -how far away are you???

We are probably 2 1/2 to 3 hours in land. Villeneuve-sur-lot is about 1 1/2 2 hours south east of Bordeaux, so depending on your route you could "pop in". We could put you up overnite depending on how many of you there are, and of course you would have to put up with 5 dogs, 8 cats, 2 guinea pigs and lots of chickens and ducks  :shock: Biarritz will be sooooo busy. Thats a wonderful idea Jellyhead! my OH knows that part of France well and he loves it! He used to travel down there with friends on motorbikes, he is trying to persuade me that it would be fun on the back of his bike :shock: I said I'd fly down and meet him!
