Hi all. New contributor here. At last the sun is forecast. Can't wait.

Chillies and tomatoes are the main reason I have a little heated propagator.
Fresno and cayenne showed after a week. Sweet peppers always take longer, home grown Di Rosso took 4 weeks, Californian sweet 3 weeks. One has to be patient and not over water the compost. Have never had any success with habanero despite many years of trying.

All little darlings go straight to the well insulated cold greenhouse for light purposes, but I always double insulate inside the greenhouse under domes on beds of fleece. Seems to work most years, although not as advanced as the hot house plants now beginning to appear in the garden centres. I don't trust the idea of heating my greenhouse.
