Fruit Bushes
« on: January 01, 2014, 17:25 »
I have just finished my fruit beds and have room for one more bush, I would like to try something a little different.  I already have gooseberries, blackberries, tayberries, black currents, red currents and white currents.  The space is in a middle bed with no supports so it will need to be a bush of some sort.  Any one any suggestions.

i'm hoping to try blueberries this year. haven't got anywhere near to getting the bed ready yet, so maybe have to wait til next year.

from what i've been told you need an acid rich soil, they do special compost for this. as your using raised beds this would be pretty easy.

Try a josta berry  ;)

Other plots have them, and I tried and liked them, so I planted mine last year - I hope it will fruit this year  :)
