How long do ducks lay for
« on: April 22, 2012, 13:24 »
I have 2 Khaki Campbell ducks who are approx 2 1\2 years old. They didn't lay during the first winter we had them but  laid up until about 3 weeks ago, albeit an.egg every other day.

Are they coming to the end of their playing lives I wonder.
2 German Shepherds, Kira & Bruin, 4 hybrid chicks Chryssie, Violet, Sweet Pea and Astra.

They will stop laying at the end of the summer but start again in spring. They are far more seasonal than chickens but should keep laying for a number of years yet.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
