Calling all enthusiastic gardeners. We are a small friendly allotment group and have a couple of plots which have just become available on our NW london allotment site located in Barnet.

Novice and experienced growers welcome. If you would like to take on your own allotment plot for growing your fruit and veg please get in touch for immediate uptake.

I presume you have no waiting list.  How much is the rent ?

From 1st April 2011 until 31st March 2012 rent will be £5.90 per pole per year.
Water charges where applicable will be £1.50 per pole per year for the same period.

I mean for the year coming not the year gone.

No waiting list - very unusual !

We have not set the price of our plots yet but expect them to stay the same...prices will be discussed and set by our society of allotment members as we take over management this year

Our waiting list thankfully was not a long one and most people on it are now happy digging people who were lucky enough to find a plot ... as the start of the new season usually brings some change over on site I still have a couple of plots available...

fabri are these private or council allotments - just wonderering cos you mentioned 'i still have a couple of plots avaliable'!

These are council plots and are run and maintained by Barnet Council. This year however most Barnet allotments are changing to self management and our Society will take over running the site.
