Welcome to the site Nigel

Have moved your post across to GYO as it's about GYO  :D

Is it a variety which goes red?

Might just be the time of year?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Hi Nigel and welcome

re the rhubard

Is it is the shade? It could be a green variety I know but even red ones look greenish if they get no sun I think.

Thanks for your comments-  -I dont know what variety it is but it came from a plant that is many years old  - -and that plant is now full of nice red rhubarb - - as to being in the shade - - its in sunshine for most of the day as its on the edge of a south facing patio

Hi Nigel - welcome to the site. I have not been a member for long but everyone is very friendly and helpful. If this is the first year for this particular rhubarb plant you might want to consider not pulling any stalks this year - some growers claim that this makes the plant produce morel/better stalks in future years. If you really get tempted just pull a few stalks to that you can get a taste.   :)
