Tomorrow after a weeks hard preparation of my raised bed for garlic and onions, I will be planting them.

I have seen on other posts mention of using netting to protect the onions for the first initial growing time.

The only netting I have is pea and bean netting, as this is quite wide does that mean no good to protect the onions??

its fine ,just drape it over a few canes .its only to stop the blackbirds  pulling em up
