Hello

As the advice was to net shallots and onions when planting sets to protect from birds picking them out and cats using my lovely dug bed as a toilet I did so-  however they are all shooting through lovely is it safe to uncover or do they stay covered throughout

Should be fine to remove the net as they'll be well rooted. I usually just snip dead bit on top and bury them so the birds don't see them.

Er, sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick but I hope your little job for tomorrow is just uncovering them rather than "snipping" anything!

I did mean uncovering them although having said that I didnt get over to even do that put it on my list for tomorrow.
