give it more time, Hatching for a baby chick is VERY exhausting, So much so that some Die because they were to weak after Hatching.

Give it some more time, Resist the urge to touch it or open the inchy or brooder it needs to keep warm and dry off it needs to regain some energy. this is "well i think anyway" the most nerve racking part of the whole thing.

At this stage it will either survive or it wont, i know its very stressful but its nature and there isn't much we can do to help apart from Keep it warm and wait.
I now have the chicken bug woot i love the Poland's

Leave it in the incubator for AT LEAST 24 hours to dry out and fluff up.

When they are first hatched they can't balance because they are a) exhausted and b) they are still getting all of their bits straightened up after being squished up in the egg.

The flopping around is completely normal, and chicks cheep all the time  you'll soon get used to it :)  Then you'll get to know the difference between the normal cheep and the distress cheep.

If it is the only one hatched, the cheeping will encourage the others to get a move on :)

well its been over 24 hrs and still cannot stand its there is definatley something wrong with its leg/foot  :( after alot of looking around on the internet i have now placed a brace on its legs and made a shoe for its curled foot once it was all on the chick could actually stand for the first time although it can't really walk but it all looks alot better fingers crossed things should look better in a few days. Tomorrow i'm going to try and find some vitamin b i tried today but no chemists open near me today is there anything else i can give it i saw something about marmite because of the vit b in it? how about anything different to eat?
Poor little thing its so full of energy it was no 4 to hatch out of 5, the other 4 are all healthy and running around  soo cute  :D
