When we put our eggs to hatch, I never expected 24 out of 24, we have 11 chicks running around and I think that's good

one thing to remember is when you are lifting her out for food make sure that there are no eggs tucked under her wing or anywhere else.

Ok, will candle at 7 or 8 days then, at least I can take out any unviable eggs, less for broody to keep warm that way. Really wanted some buff columbian brahmas but the breeders hens hadn't laid any since I put my egg order in, may be tempted to get a couple of day olds if this hatch isn't great.
