Best places for compost?
« on: January 26, 2010, 19:27 »
Hiya,

Looking for some half decent cheap compost to fill mi bath tubs up!

Anybody know of any good deals at the mo? Its got really expensive at the lottie shop. Don't mind buying it for potting etc, but not to fill 2 big baths up!

Any help appreciated!

Wickes currently have 4 x 65 litre bags for £12...... 4.6 pence per litre, is this cheap? it sounds ok to me........ now how many litres to fill a bath I wonder?!

Hope that helps!

surely worth mixing soil in at least 50:50? I know carrots dont need much nutrient but compost will be depleted of almost everything in a year and then you have to fill the baths again..

Look for the offers on growbags.

You can get them for about £1.58 - they usually contain 33L. This is marginalyl more expensive at 4.8p a litre, but if you can find a buy 2 get one free offer, you're quids in - so to speak.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
