Transplanting spring cabbages
« on: November 08, 2009, 19:57 »
I planted my spring cabbages close together on purpose, intending to cut some early for spring greens and leave the rest to heart up.  But now looking at them, I think I might have overdone it.  Could I successfully move a few to another bed or would it be safer just to leave them fighting for elbow room??

As it`s still relatively mild, I`d take a chance and thin them out a bit. If you lose a few, so be it.  :D

Should move easy, now  :).
Not a bad idea to plant a little deeper to shore up the stems against any rocking as their roots are disturbed. How big are they?
