Hi all,
         I've had my leek growing for almost a year now and they have gone to seed and starting to flower, is this still ok to harvest and eat or not?

The last few of my leeks had gone to seed this year. We tried them but only the last couple of inches was edible, the rest of the stalk was as tough as cane. Made note to eat leeks earlier next year.

Flowering leeks are good in flower arrangements... and you can dry them  easily.  I have a vase of dried leek flowers in the house, but nobody will  believe me when I tell them what they are!
