Last night when putting my egg laying birds to bed last night i found one dead bird and one almost dead bird. Earlyer this week we have had 3 hens die and i cannot work out how? The one that was almost dead is now alive but has punture wounds all over her and cannot walk well. I would take pictures but i think i should leave her in pease and also i had to spay this purple anti-bacteria spay on her. What do you think is is? We think either baby fox or stoat.

Stoats tend to go for the head and neck, if the puncture wounds are all over it sounds very much like cat damage. Foxes put wounds all over but often  take the heads off.

Someone near me had 2 hens killed by a baby fox so thats why that came to mind.
