Has anyone ever actually seen a french person eating radishes for breakfast?
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

No but I went to Hungary last year and radish was with salami and bread for breakfast!!! I thought it seemed a horrid thing for breakfast but was actually very nice. A real kick start.

A pitty I couldn't get a decent cup of tea though.

You wait until your entire meal is home grown! It's an amazing feeling.

And I have seen an English person in France eat a radish at breakfast. It was 18 jour, which looks remarkably like French Breakfast.

I had my first radishes yesterday, they were real blow your head off. Like I remember from childhood. I don't know if it was the variety or the freshness, I suspect the latter, but it was a nostril stinger.

Lovely, my first Stockwood Park Allotment harvest. :)

Haven't seen a French perosn eating radishes, but I have been in a bar in Norway with some locals in June, where huge bunches of leafy radishes and a sharp knife were served with beer instead of nuts and crisps!

Starngely it worked, except that I think I overindulged and had some strange dietary effects next day!
