I am expecting 1 year old crowns from T&M this week,can anyone advise how to care for them if as forecast the temperature drops significantly this week,or will they be ok if i plant them.I have a greenhouse if they can be stored temporarily

asparagus are very tough plants and no amount of cold will bother them. Plant them outside asap before the weather gets too cold or sloppy to do so. Reocommend you dig the adequate sized hole (to spread the roots) then set in a good fistful of sand mounded up on which to set the crown. This will keep them drier,w hich they prefer. Also add bonemeal and a bit of composted manure before covering up. Suggest you mark the spot with a small stick or whatever as new crowns are slow to come up in spring.
