Mine have absolutely no heat at all. :(   It describes them as spicy on the pack, but they have very little flavour.  Last year my Jalapenos were the same, no heat at all.  Am I doing something wrong?

There are three signs of old age. The first is your loss of memory, the other two I forget.

yep I've grown them this year, the ones I picked a few weeks ago were very bland, not even slightly hot, but the ones I picked this week have been quite hot...and some are just starting to turn black and so hopefully red eventually

basically Ice.. a bad year for chillis. I grew Joes last year and they were good but not great because of the wet summer as well.. Cracking for dying and defo have a nice kick on pizzas etc.

loads of my chillis have been heatless inc hab oranges and my scotch bonnets have well been fruitless.. they need sun and heat.

I would have had joes this year, except I chucked them away while a few weeks old by accident :D :D :D

Mine have all been utterly pants this year too.

I've got a couple of Dorset Naga's left but they're no bigger than a 10p. Im not holding out much hope for them. Even the hot lemon has yet to produce anything...

Its a good job I've misplaced my cheque book otherwise Id be spending a fortune at Pepper by post. ...again.

Eh?

Brilliant they are, sweet and hot and all, they were good last year too, compared to most crops. I don't put them outside though and treat them a bit mean.

Yes, I think you should get some Scotch bonnet, Ice or whatelse that is more then a few thousand Scoville, 'couse that amount of heat can get washed out on environmental conditions.

Lardman, I think Naga is a smallish pepper so don't worry!

Mine were all greenhouse reared but I didn't treat them mean Gobs.  Next year I'll shout at them and question their parentage.

No joke though. Environmental stress does increase heat and flavour.
