my daughters class went to wisley rhs gardens and amongst loads of great things they did they planted a radish seed each to take home and plant in the garden, alot of the kids didnt bother with it, some died and others were tiny. heres my daughters which i can proudly say she nutured!!

thanks, yes shes 8 and likes gardening, flowers too! she has gardening club at school, which i think is fantastic, theyve been growing all sorts there!

I planted my first radishes last week and got a real thrill just because they germinated. If they grow to your daughter's size  that will be amazing. Well done!

thanks all! son (whos 11 with raging hormones) has been planting out cauliflower and broccoli seedlings today and sitting in the chicken run talking to the new girls, think they have calmed him down it was lovely. even dd age 2 has been helping water seedlings and feed chickens! now shes a real outdoor type of girl! :lol:
