Well I don't know what the fuss is all about. Only been keeping ducks a year and they are just a bit of harmless fun. Once I'd got the three girls it made sense to get a drake for some ducklings and then obviously with just the one survivng duckling it was practical to get the two to keep it company and I'm sure that the 13 eggs in the incubator will fit in well. But I'm in control honest. I can stop any time I want, honest...
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

There is no cure...you would just move on to another feathery, furry or cute creature so you might as well stck with the chooks!

BABE...How can you tell such porkies...denial is all part of the addiction...just means you're not yet at the stage where a cure would work!

Give up the garden and allotment and go live in a 14th floor flat!!!!!

grannie your advice has cost me £18,000.

i tried to cure myself by moving into a flat, but came out of remission and spent all that money on a 196 meter high tongue and groove henhouse.
a hen is an egg's way of making another egg

This is brilliant, now my hubby can read it and realise that he is not alone in feeling that he is well down the pecking order. Seeing that my addiction is in the early stages may depress him though!

I hear a lot of people start by saying "I only want three" and end up with dozens, so what's the prognosis for me? I was thinking about the 'how's and 'where's of keeping fifty before I had even bought one! And I have the time and space . . .
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

My horrid husband refered me to an horrific website to help with the cure and you will need to double the valium before you visit. www.mailorderchickens.org

It didn't help, now I'm crying and going to buy chick crumbs, first hatching is due on 31st, I know that isn't for another week but it's a bit like painting the nursery early, it's all part of the excitment!!!

Loved the website - er No I didn't because I don't have a problem with lovely lovely chikcens er I mean hens! I can give them up anytime I want, just because I'm not going on holiday because I have chickens does NOT mean I have this illness - In fact I don't believe there is such an illness!!
