As I said on another similar thread a few weeks back, ideally if planting around now, don’t let them flower & fruit this year or at the least until later on, so they can build up a good root system, as ideally you want to produce a strong plant that will provide you with good fruits for the next 3/4 years. It really does make a difference. The other way would be to allow fruits this year, then use those plants as parent plants & take the runners off in the autumn & plant them up for future years plants. Then every couple of years repeat the process.
