Tomato Riesentraube
« on: May 04, 2016, 09:49 »
Has anyone else grown this variety?

It's listed as an indeterminate/cordon variety, and is growing sturdily, but has as many sideshoots as the small determinate varieties I'm also growing  (They were grown from purchased seed, rather than home-saved so should be true to variety)

It's going to be a continual fight if I have to keep pinching it out

I grew it a couple of years ago and the plant was similar to red berry (maybe a little stockier and not as tall) but the trusses were quite large (we got 150 fruit from a single plant) and needed support.

My description is here (http://www.pelicanplants.co.uk/tomatoes-a-z/tomato-riesentraube)
