peaky beans
« on: May 28, 2014, 21:21 »
   Hi All

My broad beans seem to be off colour, they were a lovely dark green when planted out. 20 April
but have gradually faded to a very pale green, almost yellow on some of the bottom leaves.
In all other respects they look healthy enough as they are beginning to flower. I gave them
a liquid feed last wednesday. The variety is Jubilee hysor. Any ideas would be gratefully
             recieved.
keep on digging

Anything like here, they're cold and wet and you can't do a lot about it.

They'll perk up given a bit of sun. The bottom leaves will inevitably meet their maker first.

I'm a bit jealous of those of you who can actually get to your plots to check on your plants. Due to the rain here in the Midlands, it's been a week since I've been and I've got a driveway covered in plants screaming to go go in!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
