Thanks for that extra info/advice folks, like I said I've only used neem oil on non edible flowering plants for spider mite infestations, but didn't know that it may be a bit dodgy if consumed by humans, so don't think I'll bother going down that route then!

I've got some sheets of finer mesh netting now so I'll put them over the frames as an added barrier, as I don't really want to spray them with pesticides if I can help it, as I don't want to kill the ladybirds and all the other helpful little things.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them.
