Sorry - my post was confusing!
I wasn't trying to cross them - just had a mixed bag of eggs I put under a broody. (Went to get 6 welsummer eggs, but ran round like a kid in a sweetshop changing my mind!) 100% hatch rate but 2/3rds chaps! Only the marsh daisies turned out to be girls.
Hopefully I'll hatch 3 each of araucuna and marans next and get some hens

I have 3 partridge bantams, (Glam, Gem and Mrs B), a black silkie cockerel, (Cheekie Chappie), a very handsome big black silkie/partridge-cross cockerel, (Buster), and 6 black silkie hens, (Bess, Wilma, Henny Penny and 3 not yet named!). Then I have 5 peacocks, a big male (Blue), and female (Cleo), with a hen from 2007 in a large aviary, a male (Tut), and female (Neff) both hatched in 2006 by a broody hen and they think they're hens and live free in the garden...but spend most of their time with the hens!

When I learn how to post photos, I've a couple of great piccies of the young peacocks with "mum" and then inside the henhouse...what a squash it was as they grew!

Happiest in the countryside.
Breathe deeply, and let the butterflies fly in formation!

I started off last November just wanting a "few" chickens. Started with 6, 5 hens and Handsome the cockerel. Ug hm.... we now have about 38 chickens and 5 ducks, I er think I um got a bit carried away, you see I just didnt have the heart to not let the broodies become mummies, so here we are with lots of cockerels to find homes for before the spring  and a new years resolution not to hatch any more chicks in 2008, mind you what are new years resolutions about :?:         never have worked that one out
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!

I have 6 hens.
Eric(a) - Rhode ISland Red
Curry and Soup - Sussex Lights
Pie - Sussex Silver
Peanut and Geri - Bovan Neras.

Had them since August 07 and they are still laying 4 - 6 eggs a day! I thought they were suppose to stop in Winter.  My 14 year old daughter has now set up 'Ella's Eggs from Happy Hens' selling eggs to the neighbours.

Got 1st 3 chooks last march 2 Silkies & a Sultan.  One of the Silkies turned out to be a cockerel and was upsetting neighbours (miserble sods) so he went to an open farm.  Replaced him with 3 ex bats.  Total 5.

Daisy - Silkie
Polly - Sultan
Rita - ex bat (whatever they are)
Elle - Ditto
Sarah - Ditto.

Freya the Barnvelder AKA 'The Boss'
Gwyneth the hybrid ? bluebell
Maisie the buff orpington
Fiona the rusty runaround - hybrid of sorts (in my bad books today, she pecked my little dog Libby today, quite nastily - Libby's too small to defend herself, she's an elderly tiny pom)
