If it is a spaghetti squash (as it was supposed to be  ) how do I cook it to find out?

When cooked the flesh can be separated into spaghetti-like strands with a fork

It seemed a bit meshy on appearance and was quite watery
I think it might be a spaghetti but it didn't form strands with a fork when stuffed.

Do I roast it or boil it for the spaghetti strands?

I've harvested one that was claiming to be spaghetti squash too. But it's nearly 6 kilos! I'm away for a week, I think it will have to wait till I get back - and hope the kids like it!
