My allotment is also in Plymouth, DBG, in Central Park. It's a bit exposed, and I have two javelins looking somewhat like that. My peers and pipers are not affected. I think there was that one night when a bit of snow was around on Dartmoor when the frost cusp was hovering, and I tried to earth up as best I could but maybe left a couple of leaves showing. They should recover.

That does make me wonder - if only some of your spuds were affected not others, that would make me think more along the blight lines again
Are Maris Peer and Piper blight resistant??

I used to live in an attic flat on Alma Road and used to walk down to those plots on Central Park, gazing enviously at them because I want one so much!!
I did have a very warm walled back garden where I lived though! :D

I'd stop whittling about blight if I were you.

Seaside has offered a perfectly good explanation as to why only some were affected!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

We've got a new tarmacked  road onto the site now... and of course we've got a great association shop. You wouldn't like the site when the wind blows. Our site suffered big time last year with blight. When it comes, usually in July/Aug it takes a fortnight to travel from the top of the site to the very bottom. No one here is concerned, just the odd plant or two... and no, my peers were not resistant last year, far from it.
Mind you, I have to say humidity in Plymouth is rarely below 90%  :)

This is very true! :D

I haven't lived on the back of Central Park for 11 years so it's been a long time since I saw your site.
It's sounding good.
Our nearest site shop is at Blunts lane near the hospital.
