we have two of these beautiful birds and got them at twenty weeks old, they are now thirty five weeks old and still not laying, they are on layers pellets and have been since we got them. Can anyone let me know if there is anything i can give them or are they still not old enough to lay yet.

might just be the time of year, laying seems to drop off over winter, you may have to wait till spring, but be patient as those first eggs will be so worth it.

hi flashl, one of my lav araucanas is over 40 weeks old now and has been squatting for 3 months and still NO EGGS! - now that the days are getting longer i am getting hopeful again and patiently waiting

One of my 2 araucanas is laying sporadically, but I think its the black one rather than the lavendar.  She started at 32 weeks, but at 38 weeks, I'm still waiting for the other one to start! 

As mentioned earlier, its a bit dark and cold at the moment!  We have to have patience!!!!

my girl isn't laying either, i have put it down to the time of the year. hopefully they will start soon
