My two little darlins laid two beautiful brown eggs for me this morning as normal.  This afternoon at 14.55pm I noticed this soft, pale, creamy-brown egg in the run.  On picking it up I found it was perfectly formed but the outer shell was pliable.  Can anyone explain what is happening please - very worried!!!!

If it's a one off, don't worry about it.

If it happens more than occasionally, ensure you have crushed oystershell available (this should be a given anyway), or you can crush used and baked eggshells and feed tham back to the girls.

But the main thing is, if it's a one off, it's usually not an issue.

Thank you Casey - will keep an eye on this.  They usually get regular grit and oystershell mix in their feed, but will up it slightly for a little while.  I'm afraid I panic'd a bit when I first saw it.
