I've been offered some fruit tree cuttings (apple pear and plum) and wondered if it's possible to graft them on to rootstock now?  I know this is usually done round January time.

Where are the rootstocks coming from?  It is pointless to graft (or try to graft) onto inferior stock.

Well I suppose I would get them from a rootstock supplier... Frank P. Matthews has been mentioned on some sites I've seen.

... and they send them out at this time of year? I doubt it.
