Regarding second earlies and maincrops..........when is the latest i can plant them?

House is on market and i will lose allotment as moving out of village, but house we want has good garden so wondered how late i can leave it?

going to plant some on lottie if house not sold by march/early april, but  wondered what was the latest i could get away with

I dont reckon new would be an issue as they normaly grow in a few weeks, main would probably miss it. New would be about 12 weeks, give or take so you would probably ok until mid June ish weather dependent. Mains are gonna be about 4-6months, again dependant on variety and weather, I am would reckon end of September to early October for lifting and work back.

thanks aidy, will have a thinky, one way round wuld be to plant some in pots they are moveable.............

Just on a point of order: Providing you keep to the rules you should be able to continue and complete your crops. Surely the plot is yours for 12 months.
