Sowed three rows of Beetroot today (2.4m long) and will take guidance from Ian who sows through August too.
I have only ever sown red Beetroot, only recently branching out into conical rather than round ones, so will give orange ones a go next year.

Yes, but it's red, and so is everything else on the plate. And it just puts me off to eat a plateful of red dyed food.

The golden ones I grew were really nice and dye free. And for the first time in my life I tried the tops as a green veg too, and they were absolutely lush.
