Ask Ice for her secrets Hogwarden, she's very sure of winning the pumpkin competition  .
Not sure she'd tell anything though  :)

I`m not competing-I just want a big`un.
Do I feed tomato food, growmore, soaked horse manure liquid, slops from the pub.....?

Not competing  ???
It's my first year of growing a pumpkin and I've heard many different methods.
I planted mine in muck, I'm feeding them muck liquid and will be giving them a bottle of maccesons each week. Let the experiments begin ::)
You should enter our competition though Hogwarden, there's plenty of us taking part :) and it is only for fun

not at all! Mine is growing at the moment in a container of muck with a little compost added.. Will be there till the first potatos are up!

Looking good so far.. Have some nice big leaves already but 1 snapped today where it was pushed against the container in the wind :( Im hoping that wont matter much!

Have another couple in compost in pots but they are no where near as big! The manure i used was well rotted and in a bag from focus.. Ill be using another bag when i plant it i reckon :)

I don't mind passing on my secrets.  8)  Firstly boil the seed for ten minutes to stimulate germination.  Then water with concentrated hydrochloric acid at every opportunity.

Seriously, my only secret is the pile of rotted chicken poop I have planted them straight into.  It's good s**t man.
Cheese makes everything better.

Don't think I'll be playing.

Mine are still no show.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
